PET ME, PET ME, PET ME PLEASE!! This beauty came from terrible neglect. Oregano was rescued from a hoarder home with 45 cats. She had to compete with all the other cats to get food, water and shelter. And there was never enough. And there was no human affection, either. Fortunately, HEART stepped in to turn a sad situation around. Oregana is very sweet, very friendly, very playful and craves attention. Oregano's motto is "PET ALL DAY; PLAY ALL NIGHT". She has FIV but there's nothing scary about that! Despite what many people think, healthy FIV cats can live perfectly long, happy, normal lives. THE FEAR OF FIV IS SIMPLY UNFOUNDED. It is a slow virus that affects a cat's immune system over a period of years. These cats most often live long and relatively healthy lives with no symptoms at all. FIV IS NOT transmissible to humans, dogs, or other non-felines. It is not easily passed between cats and cannot be spread casually - like in litter boxes, water and food bowls, or when snuggling and playing. Oregano is hoping for a hero - someone to love her. Her path to HEART has not been easy but this girl is a survivor. What she needs now is someone to step forward and offer her what all affectionate-at-heart cats need -- a home to call her own.
